# AG 2016 Splinter Meeting: SMF

## The Role and Interaction of Stellar Magnetic Fields: From the Stellar Surface to the Interstellar Medium

### Tuesday, 13. September 2016, from 14:00 to 17:00

##### At this Splinter Meeting in the framework of the AG 2016 magnetic fields on the surface of stars including the Sun shall be discussed. Special emphasis shall be put on their extension into the "interplanetary space" and their interaction with interstellar magnetic fields. The presentations will cover observations as well as theory regarding the following topics stellar and solar magnetic fields stellar and solar winds astrospheric and heliospheric magnetic fields magnetized local interstellar medium MHD discontinuities and shocks Astrospheric magnetic field of λ Cephei Solar coronal magnetic field Programme: 14:00 - 14:30: T.
